Boomplay + Zik4U.
African music has a global identity now.
Boomplay is where African music lives. 100 million users. The deepest catalog of Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afropop, highlife, and the genres defining the sound of the 21st century.
But that sound — and the identity of the people who listen to it — has been invisible to the global music social graph. No platform connected Boomplay listeners to the rest of the world, or to each other. Until Zik4U.
Boomplay carries the sound. Zik4U carries it to the world.
Zik4U is the first music social platform built for listeners across all ecosystems — including the 100 million people on Boomplay who have been excluded from every Western-centric music social network.
When a Boomplay user connects Zik4U, their listening joins a global graph of behavioral profiles. They discover listeners in Lagos, London, and Los Angeles who share their exact taste. They find compatibility with people they'd never otherwise meet.
This is what a truly global music identity platform looks like.
What Zik4U adds to your Boomplay listens.
Features that only exist because Zik4U sees across platforms.
How Zik4U works with Boomplay. Technically.
Boomplay integration uses passive detection via system playback notifications on Android — no OAuth, no account access required. Zik4U reads the track title and artist from the system notification bar.
For deeper integration, Zik4U supports optional API connection where available, allowing listening history sync.
What we capture: track title, artist name, timestamp (rounded to nearest minute), duration. Audio is never captured. Boomplay account credentials are never stored.
